Excel Christian Counselling (Pty) Ltd was founded in 2022 by Dr. Ernrich F. Basson. It was established to provide affordable and accessible counselling education across South Africa, particularly for those with limited access to tertiary education. ECC aims to train qualified and capable Christian lay counsellors through SAQA-registered qualifications. The institution addresses a gap in lower-level and accessible programs for church-based counsellors across diverse denominations, cultures, and generations. ECC’s mission is to offer high-quality, ethical, and value-driven training. We provide academic and practical counselling skills through three core theoretical modules, personalized teaching, and strong student support. Success is measured by student outcomes. ECC envisions delivering practical, transformative training that empowers future counsellors to create societal change through ministry-focused counselling.
